Secure-Bond is an All-in-One, Ready-To-Use, Mounting, and Bonding Solution that does away with any and all other cleaning and mounting solutions you are currently using.
Secure Bond is designed to be used first as a cleaning agent that will allow you to give the glass a deep cleansing down to the very pores. Secure-Bond will provide you with an optimal bonding surface to mount your films to, so you will not have to worry about dirt deposits or debris being left behind to cause problems with delaminating and film lift.
Once you have cleaned the glass surfaces with Secure-Bond it is then designed to allow you to have the time necessary to mount your films, this means you get the necessary time that is needed to cut and fit the film to the glass you are working with. Secure-Bond has the exact amount of slip agent to make your job as easy as possible without causing problems with crystallization of the acrylic adhesives.
The last phase of the process that Secure-Bond is designed to do is the chemical bonding and curing of the film to the glass. Secure-bond uses state of the art technology in the chemical bonding process. Secure-Bond enhances the bonding cycle that takes place with the Acrylic Adhesives that are present on the films, Secure-bond now allows the adhesive to penetrate deeper into the pores of the glass, filling them with more adhesive in a much more even process, this film bonding system now creates higher adhesive bonding rates which means more glass stays intact with the film that is mounted inside the frame.
Secure-Bond, when properly used, can increase the bonding or adhesion rate of film to glass. Film industry standards tell us that when normal methods are used to clean, mount and bond film to glass, and the treated glass is allowed to cure for at least 90 days to reach maximum curing and then push that glass to the point of failure you would normally lose at least 20% or more of the glass that will now become extremely dangerous life threatening projectiles. With GSS' Secure-Bond our solutions create much higher bonding ratios of up to 95% - 98%. What does this mean for you? It means that when the glass is pushed to its breaking point, that instead of 20% or more of the glass falling away from the film, you may only now have as little as 2% to 5% of glass falling away from the film frame.
Another added bonus is that Secure-Bond's chemical bonding process also reduces normal curing times by up to 2/3. Average curing time with the thick safetry and security films that would normally take up to 90 days or more to cure are now reduced to 30 days or less for film thicknesses of 11mil and thinner, with 65% of the curing taking place within a week. For those films that are 12mils up to 21 mils, the curing time is still around the 30 day mark, depending on environmental conditions, which is still less than a third of what the normal cure times are for the rest of the industry.
